Ponderosa Pincushion | Peachland/WFN, BC
Indigenous Partnership
Phase: Feasibility Study
Year: 2024
Area: 152 Acres
Informed by an indigenous partnership, this master plan feasibility study explored a comprehensive mixed-use resort and wellness destination featuring a diverse range of housing typologies, from single-family homes to high-density multifamily units, comprising a 391-unit residential community.
The proposal includes a variety of public and recreational spaces, featuring an amenity centre, a Four-Seasons Health & Wellness Resort Hotel with restaurant, villas and pools, a guided Indigenous (WFN) cultural interpretive park, a conservation park, and an interconnected network of nature-based trails linking to the existing Pincushion and Trepanier hiking trail systems. The planning approach carefully considers the relationship between land use, housing typologies, and the steep natural contours of the site to create a cohesive and environmentally responsive development.
