Designing to change the way we live

Operating since 1983, with expansions to Kamloops in 2000, Kelowna in 2004 and Vernon in 2023, the capabilities that Bluegreen Architecture (BGA) offer make for an inspiring and innovative collaboration. BGA has established a fundamental role within the community through thoughtful innovation and practical application of sustainability within project planning and building design. With studios throughout the interior region, BGA is invested in this place and it’s people.

Over the past 40 years, BGA has contributed to some of Kelowna and Kamloops most influential buildings, including Abbott House in Kelowna, The Outback in Vernon, and Spirit Square Redevelopment in Kamloops. We completed Kelowna’s Clement Business Park in 2021 and continue to design/coordinate numerous BC Housing projects including Katherines Place, Elizabeth Fry Society Women’s Shelter and 429 St Paul, in Kamloops. We collaborate on master planning, infill and affordable housing, commercial projects and hospitality design.

 

Currently BGA consists of four AIBC Registered Architects, five intern architects, two experienced Interior Designers, and a growing supporting staff of 23. With studios throughout the interior region, BGA is invested in this place and it’s people. All our studios combined offer extensive experience in providing successful and creative Architectural solutions that are community focused with a committed team of professionals who share a personal responsibility to the site, our environment and our community. We thrive on a solution-based design attitude which enables project delivery through expediency, positive engagement and creative resolutions; resulting in a product that addresses the requirements of creativity, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The practice of architecture is an optimistic act. Our design philosophy at BGA follows three principles: Creative Innovation, Social Accountability + Collaboration.
