Interior Health Primary and Community Care Centres. BGA did the architecture and interior design on the entire building. Interior Health Primary Care Centre is in the north section, at street level. The Secondary Care Centre occupies the second floor, in the south section of the building. For the Primary Care Centre, BGA worked closely with doctors, nurses and administrative staff, to work out the programming and space plan. Priority was given to designing an efficient exam room layout and providing touchdown workstations which support the workflow efficiencies. The Community Care Centre is a multi-use facility. It houses respiratory exam rooms, general exam rooms, dietitian services, social work, counselling, collaboration rooms, private meeting rooms and classrooms. A prefabricated modular wall system was used for the interior partitions in both clinics, which can be reconfigured to accommodate future space and programming needs.
